Billboard Music Awards

so as some of ya’ll know, i’m part of a competition run by Billboard! they hand picked 3 artists from each region of the US to compete in a battle of the bands from the Uncharted list they recently just developed. Billboard is trying to help out undiscovered/indie artists get attention and i’m very honored to even just be on the chart. i jumped 17 spots this week!

i’ve been labeled as a YouTube star/artist, and while i love YouTube i do wanna use it as a stepping stone to go on to bigger things— and this competition is helping me do that. past all the YouTube & Asian-American labeling, i just wanna be an artist. who happens to be Filipino and who also happens to be a big presence on the Internet as well.

on the other hand, i just wanna let you know i will never forget about my roots and how i started spreading my music using the internet with myspace and youtube. you guys make my job possible. so thank you so much for that.

anyway, please vote for me (and my boy Timothy De La Ghetto) for the Battle of the Bands. the winner of it all gets to perform at the Billboard Music Awards. this is the real deal. support me and all of our community in helping us break through the barriers. i’m sure a lot of us wanna go past YouTube. we’re all getting one step closer =)
